Purpose:

Content: The Harbour and Foreshore Manager summarised the report that provided information on the proposed Schedule of Charges for 2026/2027 and confirmed that the schedule of charges would be included in the draft budget proposals and Council Fees and Charging process, with a view to them being implemented on 1 April 2026.     The Board discussed the report, and the following points were made:    The charges were in line with the four other similar sized ports and harbours that had been compared via a benchmarking exercise.  No feedback had been received from operators on the proposals.  An increase of 4% to the Whitstable Harbour beach hut fees is proposed which is consistent with those managed by Foreshore services.   Fees impacting the fishing sector have received a discounted increase of 2% which was welcomed by members of the Board.    It was proposed, seconded and when put to a vote RECOMMENDED to Council:     That the proposed Schedule of Charges is approved.     Record of the voting:     For: Councillors Butcher, Carnac, Dixey and Turnbull and Sandy Ackord, Neil Webster and Peter Steen (7)     Against: None (0)     Abstained: None (0)
