Decision: Acceptance of the £1.5m Pride in Place Impact Fund through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council Reasons for the Decision: In September 2025 Government announced its Pride in Place initiative. Within this initiative sits a £150m funding allocation known as Pride in Place Impact Fund. Rotherham is a recipient of this funding and the Council has been allocated £1.5m capital within the funding period Sept 2025 to March 2027. The initiative aims to provide immediate support to deliver improvements to high streets, places and spaces of community value. This Officer decision relates to the acceptance of the funding through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, to be returned to Government by 7th November 2025. Details of alternative options considered and rejected: The Council could choose not to accept the £1.5m funding and not sign the MOU. This option is not recommended.
