Purpose:

Content: Councillor Curtis – Resources Portfolio   The Cabinet was presented with details of the Capital Budget Monitoring for the Period 1 – 6 (1 April – 30 September 2025).   The options available to The Cabinet were to note the position on capital expenditure and income for the Period 1 – 6 of 2025/26, as presented, or to request that any issues identified for further consideration be addressed.   Councillor Crump, Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC), provided feedback from the meeting of the OSC held on 30 October 2025 and noted that slippage was down on previous years, however this was occasionally intentional due to contextual changes, and acknowledged that The Procurement Act 2023 had also caused delays. The Deputy Chief Executive confirmed that the practical effects of wider economic issues contributed to projects taking longer to come to fruition.   Following which, it was   RESOLVED:   That the position on capital expenditure and income for the Period 1 - 6 (1 April – 30 September 2025) be received.   Note: This item is not subject to call-in to the OSC as it is not a key decision
