Purpose:

Content: The Director of Resources and Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report for Committee to consider suggested Employee Health and Wellbeing initiatives.   The suggestions aimed to support employee’s physical, mental and financial health in order to positively influence staff morale, attendance and the quality of services offered to the public.   The report providing details on a number of suggested areas which would be at no cost to the Council, these included:   ·         A centralised staff benefits platform ·         Workplace savings ·         Credit Union ·         Retirement Savings ·         Wills Service ·         Mental Health ·         Physical Health   Members were pleased to support the incentives.   RESOLVED THAT COMMITTEE:   1.    Agreed, in principle, that the council move forward with the implementation of the individual elements as set out in the report.   2.    Approved delegation to the Chair of the Personnel Committee and the Head of HR to implement the individual elements, with the exception of Workplace Savings which would be delegated to the Chair of the Personnel Committee and the Director of Resources / Deputy Chief Executive.
