Purpose: Concerns have been raised that parked vehicles on both sides of Fourways impede traffic flow. It is reported that this parking regularly prevents larger vehicles from accessing adjoining properties and has also resulted in delays to the emergency services. To prevent this No Waiting & No Loading At Any Time restrictions are proposed on both sides of Fourways, as shown on drawing number E9479-TRO-01.
Content: Concerns have been raised that parked vehicles on both sides of Fourways impede traffic flow. That, following careful consideration of the informal comments received, authorisation be given to advertise the intention to introduce the Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in the Schedule to this report and that, if no objections are maintained, the Order be made and implemented in part, as indicated below, as soon as is practicable. That any objections maintained be reported for consideration. Following concerns raised that parked vehicles cause obstruction to traffic flow, it is proposed to introduce No Waiting and No Loading At Any Time restrictions on Fourways. The introduction of prohibition of waiting restrictions only was considered, but with existing No Waiting and No Loading At Any Time restrictions in place on Longbridge Road, and businesses having loading areas off-street it was considered that the proposed restrictions are more appropriate. To do nothing would not resolve the issues currently experienced.
