Content: The report proposes capital expenditure over £1m.             The Cabinet considered the report of the Executive Director (Resources) which presented an update on the Council’s Capital Programme for 2025/26 and future years.    Councillor Mrs J Lonergan, Cabinet Member for Resources reported that the Council’s total Capital Programme for the next three years had been £115.853m, of which £58.348m was scheduled to be spent in the current year as detailed in this report. In this respect, Councillor Lonergan highlighted that the 2025/26 Capital Programme included investment across the Borough on transport improvements, the provision of new school places, disabled facilities grants, Halewood Levelling Up Fund, and support to prevent residents becoming homeless.   Councillor Lonergan reported that the significant level of planned capital expenditure demonstrated the Council’s continued commitment to investing in the future of the Borough and the importance of supporting the development of local jobs and local businesses is more important than ever, and the Council must continue to do all it can to support the Borough’s economy during difficult national economic conditions.   RESOLVED – That the new three-year Capital Programme of £115.853m in total as set out in section 4 and detailed in Appendix A of this report be approved.
