Purpose: The purpose of this report is to seek approval, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.5, for the award of contract to FR Sharrock LTD for the Purchase of a Meyer Crossfire (mini gritter).   The reason for the decision is that a compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7 and the most advantageous bid has been identified.  

Content: The purpose of this report is to seek approval, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.5, for the award of contract to FR Sharrock LTD for the Purchase of a Meyer Crossfire (mini gritter).   The reason for the decision is that a compliant procurement exercise has been undertaken in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7 and the most advantageous bid has been identified.               (i)         That, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.5, a contract be                                                                       awarded to FR Sharrock LTD for the Purchase of a Meyer Crossfire (mini gritter).     (ii)        That, the Procurement Team be authorised to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of the relevant contract documentation Do Nothing/Not Award: This option was considered and rejected as Knowsley council have a responsibility to grit the roads, schools and car parks within the borough. The current machine is beyond economical repair and needs to be replaced.
