Purpose:

Content: 1.      To approve the adding of the Crawford Avenue flood alleviation scheme to the IFS. 2.      To approve the allocation of CIL to the value of £115,000 to the Crawford Avenue flood alleviation scheme. 3.      To approve the creation of a budget, equivalent to the CIL funding, for Crawford Avenue Flood Alleviation Project. 4.      To approve the allocation of CIL to the value of £23,500 to the Harrisons Farm/Adlington Cemetery Extension project. 5.      To approve the creation of a budget, equivalent to the CIL funding, for Harrisons Farm Cemetery Extension. 6.      To note that an invitation to request for an allocation of CIL for the funding of infrastructure has been circulated to all of the relevant partners on 30 October25 and a report will be presented to Executive Cabinet in January 2026 seeking approval of the allocation of CIL to projects.   Reasons for recommendations These projects meet the requirement as set out in regulations (section 216(2) of the Planning Act 2008, and regulation 59, as amended by the 2012 and 2013 Community Infrastructure Regulations. The constitution allows for the Executive Member for Planning and Development to make this decision to authorise capital scheme requests to the value of £180,000.   Other options considered and rejected To do nothing which would lead to further flood risk for the Adlington residents and a delay in delivery of the cemetery extension creating supply pressure on burial capacity in the future.
