Purpose:

Content: 1.      To approve the allocation of £25,000 of UKSPF funding to the successful applicants for the Anti-social behaviour, Crime & Disorder grant scheme as detailed in the report below. 2.      To use the specific criteria set out in the UKSPF government guidance to allocate and administer the grant. 3.      To allow any amendments to the proposed funding allocation to be agreed with the Executive Member for Early Intervention and Director of Communities and Leisure.   Reasons for recommendations Each application has been individually assessed, and qualifying bids have been successful ensuring they are compliant with the grants requirements.   Other options considered and rejected 1.      Businesses that have already implemented their own measures prior to the grant being operative are not eligible for the funding. Applications whose proposed measures would not have a beneficial purpose in reducing ASB, Crime & Disorder have been rejected. 2.      In certain successful grants, the funds have been allocated proportionally, and a certain percentage of the requested budget has been granted with an understanding that the requesting applicant will be able to obtain match funding from other sources.
