Purpose: To approve the draft Cumbria Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), for which Cumberland Council is a Supporting Authority, for commencement of the consultation period. To note the delegated decision-making of the Responsible Authority (Westmorland and Furness Council) to finalise the Local Nature Recovery Strategy following public consultation and provide notification to publish to Defra.   The strategy has been developed with partners as a result of the Environment Act 2021 and has followed all relevant regulations and statutory guidance in order to develop a blueprint for nature recovery in Cumbria.
