Purpose: To seek approval for public consultation on the Resources and Recycling Strategy.

Content: To seek approval for public consultation on the Resources and Recycling Strategy. The Committee considered a report of the Executive Director (Environment & Place), by way of pre-Cabinet Scrutiny, which presented the draft Resources, Recycling and Waste Strategy 2025 – 2035 and which sought approval to go out to public consultation.   In response to questions the Cabinet Member gave the following assurances:   • there would be some minor tweaks to the strategy document before commencing the public consultation, including the addition of the new waste system; and • Leigh Town Council would be included in the consultation exercise.   RESOLVED:-   That the report to Cabinet be noted.   Note: This is an Executive function Cabinet Member: Cllr Hyde
