Purpose: To provide updates and recommendations from the Full Council meeting on 6 November and Joint Scrutiny Committee on 10 November.

Content: RESOLVED: ·       To agree the Full Council amendment to the Vision statement in the final proposal document to include the following statement "Our Localities approach will be tailored to strengthen local voice, build resilience, and celebrate the distinctiveness of our towns and villages. We will be trusted partners, working hand-in-hand with residents, parish and town councils, and the voluntary sector to co-produce positive solutions that meet local needs and delivers strong action on climate change and nature recovery". ·       To note the request for individual breakdowns per unitary authority area and to agree that the executive summary narrative be strengthened to clarify that the combined scores and options appraisal cover the whole geographic area of the proposal in accordance with Government criteria. ·       To agree to further emphasise the authorities’ experience in delivering services to rural areas. ·       To note and support the officer review of how the fire and rescue provision will be met. ·       To note and support the ongoing work on a designed version of the proposal that demonstrates place and people within the two unitary areas.
