Content: Consideration was given to the report which presented an overview of the performance, risk, and budget for the Adult Social Care and Housing Needs directorate, and the Public Health directorate, between 1 July 2025 and 30 September 2025. The Director for Adult Social Care highlighted some items contained in the appendix: · Graph on page 70 the topline was the current year data and had shown an increase in people presenting to Adult Social Care, this figure would increase year on year it was noted that over 20 people were aged over 100. · There was a believed error in a graph on page 71 which would be looked at Families in bed and breakfast had remained static The Director for Public Health advised that this had been the first time Public Health data had been included, and she asked the committee to assist in how and what data would be useful to present in future reports. The Committee asked if targets could be introduced to show the direction of movement and understand the level of resources required for the service, in response the Director of Adult Social Care advised that the department was a demand driven service and meeting the needs of vulnerable residents was the priority. Questions were asked regarding the home finder process and the number of people accessing the service, the Director for Adult Social Care advised that some people did not meet the criteria for Home Finder, voluntary sector partners provided a good service to assist in filling the gap in providing housing advice. RESOLVED: THAT the operational and financial performance of the Adult Social Care and Housing Needs and Public Health directorates be noted.
