Purpose:

Content: The Director for Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Adults Board, Board Manager introduced the Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report for 2024-25.   It was explained that a delivery plan was being drafted and noted that community was key to recognise and report safeguarding issues, more work to include communities were being undertaken including hosting afternoon tea sessions to increase engagement.   The Committee requested that the report include specific targets, along with an explanation of how these targets would be achieved and measured. In response, the Director noted that an increase in safeguarding reports was a positive indicator, reflecting improved awareness and recognition of safeguarding issues.   RESOLVED:   THAT the Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report 2024-25 be received and noted.
