Content: The Director of Communities submitted a report to seek approval to spend Home Office allocated funding to fund a service provider to deliver a Resettler Support and Signposting Drop-in Service to help support UK Resettlement Schemes and to reduce pressure on local services. Decisions The Resources Portfolio Holder agreed: · That approval is given to fund the Salvation Army to deliver a Resettler Support and Signposting Drop-in Service at a cost of £25,512 per year for two years. · That approval is given to proceed with the engagement of The Salvation Army under the exemption to Contract Procedure rules contained within the Financial Regulations and Financial Procedure Rules on the grounds that exceptions may apply where: “The services are of a specialised nature carried out by only one or a limited number of organisations which have local experience with no reasonably satisfactory alternatives available.”
