Purpose: To seek Cabinet approval for Gloucestershire County Council to continue to participate in the existing Southwest Fostering Dynamic Purchasing System.  This provides independent fostering placements for children in care and is operated by Bath and North-East Somerset Council.

Content: To seek Cabinet approval for Gloucestershire County Council to continue to participate in the existing Southwest Fostering Dynamic Purchasing System.  This provides independent fostering placements for children in care and is operated by Bath and North-East Somerset Council. Cllr Ben Evans sought Cabinet approval for Gloucestershire County Council to continue to participate in the existing Southwest Fostering Dynamic Purchasing System. This provides independent fostering placements for children in care and is operated by Bath and North-East Somerset Council.     Having considered all of the information, Cabinet noted the report and   RESOLVED to:     1.     Approve a 2-year extension, commencing 1st April 2026, to the Southwest Fostering Dynamic Purchasing System. This provides independent foster care for children in care and is operated by Bath and North-East Somerset Council on behalf of itself, Gloucestershire County Council, North Somerset Council and South Gloucestershire Council.   2.     Delegate authority to the Director of Children’s Commissioning and Partnerships and to the Head of Service for Placements to admit or remove suppliers to/from the Dynamic Purchasing System during its term in accordance with the Dynamic Purchasing System’s selection criteria.
