Purpose:
Content: By the Head of Law and Governance: To confirm appointment of Johnson Controls to provide maintenance for SDC’s CCTV systems using a direct award through the ESPO framework for a three-year period with the option to extend for a further two years (https://www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/RM6289). The current contract with Johnson Controls expires on 30 September 2025, and continuing maintenance and reactive repair of the CCTV system on an ongoing basis is required now. The direct award will ensure the least service disruption. This Notice was brought to the Head of Service’s attention at the end of November and accordingly was authorised due to the circumstances and the necessity. Direct award to Johnsons Controls under the ESPO framework to continue maintenance and reactive repair of the CCTV system they are already familiar with Carrying out a further competition through the ESPO framework. There would be some service disruption during a further competition period as repair work would not be covered, so this option is considered unsuitable. Carrying out a full open tender process in accordance with SDC’s Contract Standing Orders.
