Purpose: This Record of Decision relates to the approval given by the Director of Regeneration and Economic Development to advertise and, in the event that no objections are received, to proceed with the making of the Order. The TRO proposes to vary the Authority’s Off Street Parking Places Order 2025 and the On Street Parking Places Order 2025 to: a) introduce a charged parking tariff at The Playhouse Car Park and Park Road Car Park in Whitley Bay; and b) introduce a charge for the first Resident Parking Permit in shared-use parking permit schemes in the Borough and for this charge to be set at £30 per annum.
