Purpose: The Cabinet previously gave approval to the redevelopment of Bird Hall Lane Industrial Estate into Cheadle Eco Business Park and redevelopment at Adswood Depot on 5 December 2023.  This report provides an update on the progression of these proposals.

Content: The Cabinet previously gave approval to the redevelopment of Bird Hall Lane Industrial Estate into Cheadle Eco Business Park and redevelopment at Adswood Depot on 5 December 2023.  This report provides an update on the progression of these proposals. The Cabinet has considered an update on the redevelopment taking place at Cheadle Eco Park and the Adswood Depot sites, and has:-   (1) Noted the contents of the report and the progress made on the developments to date.   (2) Noted the updated financial modelling provided in the confidential appendix 4 and give approval to the funding request on the terms and basis set out in the appendix.   (3) Delegated authority to the Deputy Chief Executive (Services to Place) and Director of Finance (Corporate and Support Services) in consultation with the Cabinet Member of Finance & Resources and the Cabinet Member for Economy, Regeneration & Skills to take all steps necessary and required for the delivery of the Cheadle Eco Business Park and Adswood Depot redevelopments, including appointment of any professional services consultants or construction contractors to deliver both projects.   (4) Delegated authority to the Assistant Director of Governance to take such steps and complete such agreements and contracts as are necessary to implement the resolutions recommended in this report and any decisions properly made under authority delegated by these resolutions.   (NOTE: An appendix to the report contained information ‘Not for Publication’ that had been circulated to members of the Cabinet only).
