Purpose: That the Assistant Executive Director Adult Social Care approves:    the award of a grant agreement to Alzheimer’s Society for the period of 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2025; and    Agree for a payment of £0.032m to Alzheimer’s Society to cover the period of the grant.  

Content: That the Assistant Executive Director Adult Social Care approves:    the award of a grant agreement to Alzheimer’s Society for the period of 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2025; and    Agree for a payment of £0.032m to Alzheimer’s Society to cover the period of the grant.   That the Assistant Executive Director Adult Social Care approves:    the award of a grant agreement to Alzheimer’s Society for the period of 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2025; and    Agree for a payment of £0.032m to Alzheimer’s Society to cover the period of the grant.   Do nothing: This option was considered and rejected as the service was already operational, and the period of the grant agreement allows for an evaluation of the offer to be undertaken.   Deliver in House: This option was considered and rejected as the service was already in operation and the Council don’t have the capacity or expertise to continue this service.   Seek Competition (quote/tender): This option was considered and rejected as the Council has commissioned a third party on behalf of the Health and Wellbeing Board to undertake creating a Dementia Strategy for Knowsley and they will carry out work to understand what is needed from the dementia community in Knowsley. This work will inform any future commissioning intentions.
