Purpose: To seek approval for a social value financial contribution that has been provided to the Council under a previous service contract managed by the Assets Service to be allocated to the Knowsley Care Experienced People Christmas Gift Appeal.  

Content: To seek approval for a social value financial contribution that has been provided to the Council under a previous service contract managed by the Assets Service to be allocated to the Knowsley Care Experienced People Christmas Gift Appeal.   The Executive Director (Resources) in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources, approves the allocation of a social value financial contribution the Council has received related to a previous service contract managed by the Assets Service to the Knowsley Care Experienced People Christmas Gift Appeal.   There was an option not to allocate the social value financial contribution to the Knowsley Care Experienced People Christmas Gift Appeal. This option was considered and discounted because it is deemed that the Appeal is a very worthy recipient and this option directly contributes to the Council Plan’s Social Value Year One action to “develop clear links between contracts and deliverable, prioritised social value outcomes”.
