Purpose: To establish a permanent Accelerated Permanence Team within Children’s Services, which specifically consists of one permanent Team Manager (Grade Q) and four permanent Experienced Social Workers (Grade L).

Content: To establish a permanent Accelerated Permanence Team within Children’s Services, which specifically consists of one permanent Team Manager (Grade Q) and four permanent Experienced Social Workers (Grade L). That the Interim Executive Director (Children’s Services) in consultation with the Executive Director (Resources) approves the  establishment of permanent Accelerated Permanence Team within Children’s Services. Do Nothing: This option was considered and rejected as the establishment of a permanent Accelerated Permanence Team is critical to ensure there is sufficient capacity within the service to meet court directions and subsequently uphold the reputation of the Local Authority within the Family Court.
