Purpose: To consider amending the existing Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to further address anti-social use of vehicles, including car cruising, and to extend its duration until January 2029.

Content: 1.         That the Public Space Protection Order that is currently in place for vehicle related anti-social behaviour be extended for a period of three years, under section 60 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. 2.         That the Public Space Protection Order be amended to include additional activities namely parking and exiting a motor vehicle whilst left in a non-designated parking space at a car cruise; and shouting, swearing, abusing or otherwise intimidating another person at a car cruise. 3.         That vehicle related anti-social behaviour is, or is likely to be, of a persistent nature, is or is likely to be unreasonable and justifies the restrictions imposed by the revised notice found in Annex B to the report.
