Purpose: To consider options to amend the car park fees and charges for 2026/27.

Content: RESOLVED:   a)    That Cabinet consider the car parking fees for the financial year 2026/27 and agree to implement: ·       Option B – increase all fees by 5% ·       Option E – Change car parks to pay on arrival, and ticketless/paperless (rather than Pay and Display) ·       Option F - Change Southern Road car park, Thame from short stay to long stay ·       Option G - Bring long stay car parks in Castle St and St Georges in line with other car parks In Wallingford. ·       Option H - Reduce the cost of permits by increasing the current reduction for permits from 40% to 50% and, ·       Retain half price permits for EVs ·       Option I - Provide delegated authority to the Head of Service to authorise parking permits for volunteers at reduced/no charge b)    To authorise the Head of Legal and Democratic to prepare a Notice of Variation under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for publishing in the local newspaper and all affected car parks. (Or authorise the Head of Legal and Democratic to prepare and publish a draft order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984) c)    To authorise the Head of Development and Corporate Landlord to oversee necessary communications and consultations and report back to cabinet.
