Content: To approve a 12 month increase to the establishment by creating a new 1 FTE grade 3 Homefinder Review Officer post at £36,089.30. That the establishment is increased and the HRA revenue budget is amended accordingly This report seeks approval for a 12 month increase to the establishment within the Housing Needs Service, after a successful JDQ panel. The establishment change is to facilitate the fixed term recruitment for one year of a new 1 FTE Homefinder Review Officer role within the Housing Needs service.  The Mansfield housing needs service has seen a significant increase over the last two years in the number of appeals from customers on the housing register. Appeals are a statutory function that we are required to respond to within a certain time frame and it takes significant officer time to respond to them. The housing register currently has approximately 6,500 applicants on it. As part of the consumer standards introduced by the Regulator of Social Housing, as a landlord we are continuously capturing and analysing data. This role will be responsible for this purpose within the Housing Needs service and it will also support the co-ordination of the voids process to ensure that targets are being met across all service areas which will decrease future void rent loss and increase void turnover time.   The new role will sit within the Housing Needs service (see existing and proposed structures at Appendix 1).   None.
