On this occasion, the short gap between the LHFIG meeting held on 2 December and the Area Board held on 4 December, meant that the recommendations had not been published for the required period for the Area Board to be able to make a decision.   The lengthy gap until the next scheduled meeting means that there is a potential negative impact on local projects if the decisions are not made.   Whilst an extraordinary meeting could conceivably be arranged, it is not considered a practical or reasonable option to arrange what would be a very short meeting solely for the purposes of considering the LHFIG’s financial applications.   The Leader of the Council is able to make the decision, and this is the most efficient way of progressing the projects. ·       The Leader to determine the decisions following consultation with the Area Board Members.   ·       To determine the decisions at the next ordinary meeting of the Area Board.   ·       To call an extraordinary Area Board meeting to determine the decisions. The notes from the LHFIG meeting held on 2 December 2025, were published as an agenda supplement available at the Area Board meeting held on 4 December 2025. The Area Board members, and members of the public, present had the opportunity to give their views on the recommendations. The four local Members of Corsham Area Board were also consulted with following the meeting.
