Purpose: To seek approval to award an interim contract for nursing and residential services

Content: RESOLVED that         I.         An interim contract for the provision of nursing and residential services within Bracknell Forest is awarded. The contract is anticipated to start during February 2026, for a term not exceeding three years.        II.         The authority to approve changes in start date is delegated to the Executive Director: People in consultation with the Executive Director: Resources, should circumstances require a change in the commencement date of the new arrangements.   Exclusion of Press and Public   For the consideration of the final recommendation it was RESOLVED that pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to Information) Regulations 2012 and having regard to the public interest, members of the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of item 10 which involves the likely disclosure of exempt information under the following category of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972:   (3) Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person.   Private Session   It was RESOLVED that the authority to take necessary actions to finalise the safe transition to a new provider is delegated to the Executive Director: People and Executive Director: Resources in consultation with the Cabinet Members for Adults and Public Health and Finance and Corporate Improvement.   Extensive internal consultation has taken place with • Relevant department's. • The portfolio holder • CMT   • Legal services, Property services, Procurement and Finance • Chief executive and Executive directors • Portfolio holder - Councillor Megan Wright
