Decision Maker: Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport (Cllr Joy Dennis)

Outcome:

Is Key Decision?: No

Is Callable In?: Yes

Purpose: Crawley Borough Council manages a portfolio of parks and open spaces including Goffs Park. Due to its proximity to the town centre and railway station the Goffs Park Lower car park area is routinely being used for long-stay commuter parking to the detriment of genuine park users.    Crawley Borough Council propose to introduce parking charges so that the Goffs Park Lower car park will be utilised as a short-stay parking facility. The parking charges cannot be introduced without the consent of West Sussex County Council.
