Purpose: Community Safety Partnerships are required under the Crime and Disorder Act (1998) to ensure a strategic plan is in place, to address crime and disorder locally. The current plan ended in 2024 and a new plan has been developed for 2025-2028. The responsible authorities (Council, Fire Service, Police Service, Probation, NHS ICB) are required to work together in partnership to tackle crime and disorder locally: driving delivery of crime reduction strategies and initiatives via the Community Safety Partnership Board. This item presents the Community Safety Partnership plan: formulated using the findings from the Annual Strategic Assessment and the relevant recommendations, engagement with professionals and wider consultation with our local residents (including children, young people and young adults).
