Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the mid-year update on the Local Transport Plan (LTP) Capital Programme, summarising progress and changes to integrated transport and maintenance schemes. The report included indicative programmes for 2026/27 to support forward planning and sought approval for revised and future programmes.   RESOLVED: i)                 Cabinet approved the revised programmes for 2025/26 as set out in Appendices A and B, noting the need for ongoing review. ii)                Cabinet authorised the Service Director, Highways and Waste to award relevant works under the Highways, Drainage and Street Lighting Maintenance Contract. iii)              Cabinet authorised the Interim Service Director, Climate Change, Compliance, Planning & Transport to make changes to the approved programme following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport. iv)              Cabinet approved the indicative integrated transport and maintenance programmes for 2026/27 as a basis for future planning.   The above decision was made for the following reason: a)             To enable the design and implementation of transport schemes in support of the North East Transport Plan and the Council’s policy objectives.
