Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the procurement and award of contracts listed in Appendix 2, with the intention of ensuring efficient and effective delivery of Council services. The report provided an overview of planned procurement activity, progress on previously approved contracts, and updates on awarded contracts, in line with the National Procurement Policy Statement and the Procurement Act 2023.   RESOLVED: i)                 The Service Director, Financial Management was authorised to: ·        invite or negotiate tenders ·        conduct other procurement processes, ·        complete relevant processes in respect of the contracts listed in Appendix 2 ·        award contracts to the tenderers submitting the most economically advantageous tenders in accordance with Contract Procedure Rules ii)                Cabinet will continue to receive an updated report twice per year. iii)              Following Cabinet approval, the procurement activity set out in Appendix 2 will form the basis of the Council’s Procurement Pipeline and be published on the Council’s internet page. Contracts over £2m will also be published on the Central Digital Platform in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.   The above decision was made for the following reasons: a)                 To enable the procurement of goods, works and services required for the efficient and effective delivery of services. b)                 To enable Cabinet to be updated with progress and changes to the procurement forward plan. c)                 To comply with the National Procurement Policy Statement and Procurement Act.
