Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the allocation of the Pride in Place Impact Fund, with the aim of empowering local communities to improve places and spaces that matter to them. The report sought Cabinet approval for a suite of projects designed to invest in community facilities, enhance public spaces, and revitalise high streets and town centres, supporting Gateshead Council’s corporate priorities and the Thrive pledges.   RESOLVED: i)                 Cabinet agreed to the proposed projects to be taken forward to deliver the £1.5m Pride in Place Impact Fund funding identified in Appendix 3 of the report.   The above decision was made for the following reasons: a)             To enable successful delivery of the Pride in Place Impact Fund. b)             To enable successful delivery of activity in Gateshead that will contribute to local priorities and the Council’s Corporate Plan.
