Purpose:

Content: New Service Key Performance Indicators (KPis) for Environmental Services were approved by the Environment and Sustainability Committee on 6th March 2025.   Measuring performance through KPIs provided Members with the ability to scrutinise service area performance against key objectives.   The report covered Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 KPIs for the year 2025/2026.  The report detailed the RAG rating for the following service areas:   Engineering Team, Green Spaces Team, Environmental Health and the Direct Services Operation (DSO).   It was noted that in relation to ES4 (street cleansing reports) this KPI had been clouded due to reports of litter and litter bins being reported as a street cleansing issue on the Council’s website ‘report it’ button. Officers were intending to refine the KPI for next year.   With regard to GS3 Officers were currently undertaking lots of work by engaging with applicants on this list.  This work was establishing any multiple applications by the same person and those applicants who no longer wished to remain on the list.
