Content: To agree UKSPF allocations to Rotherham Projects in 2025/26. ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL RECORD OF OFFICER EXECUTIVE DECISION Date of Decision: 15th December 2025 Title: UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) – project funding allocations Decision Maker: (Including Job Title) Judith Badger, Assistant Chief Executive and Strategic Director of Finance and Customer Services Details of Specific Delegation or Delegation contained in the relevant Sub-Scheme of Delegation. Minute (136) of the Cabinet decision on UKSPF of 17th March 2025 delegates authority to the Assistant Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to approve final allocations for individual UKSPF projects. The functions and delegations of the Assistant Chief Executive are currently being exercised by the Strategic Director of Finance and Customer Services. This arrangement is set out as a footnote, on the first page of Appendix 9 (Responsibility for Functions) of the Council Constitution as follows: Further to Appendix 9, Section 3A paragraph 3(e) of the Constitution the Chief Executive has temporarily reallocated the functions and delegations of the Assistant Chief Executive to the Strategic Director of Finance and Customer Services Decision: Resolve to allocate £257,766 of UKSPF to the following projects: · Shop Unit Business Grants - £117,643 (capital) · Launchpad - £25,000 (revenue) · Active Lives - £31,123 (capital) · Town Centre Events - £59,000 (revenue) · Children’s Capital of Culture - £25,000 (revenue) Reasons for the Decision: To confirm the allocations for the listed projects in order to effectively utilise the remainder of Rotherham’s UKSPF allocation for 2025-26. Details of alternative options considered and rejected: The alternative is to not allocate or utilise this funding in which case it is likely to be spent elsewhere in South Yorkshire.
