Purpose: To advise Council of changes to the Membership of the Committees.

Content: Since the last meeting, there had been two changes to the political balance of the Council with Councillor Stanger becoming a member of the Liberal Democrat Group and Councillor Creaser resigning from the Labour Group and becoming an Independent Non-Group Member.    Following a review of the allocation of committee seats, all Group Leaders had agreed to retain the current allocation of Members to committee seats.     In accordance with Council Procedure Rule 5.6, Council was notified of a change in Substantive Membership on the Licensing and General Purposes Committee, Substitute Members on the Human Resources, Overview and Scrutiny and Standards Committees and political Membership of the Planning and Overview and Scrutiny Committees.    RESOLVED: That the changes in Committee Membership be noted as follows: ? Human Resources Committee – Councillor Bayliss ON as Labour Group Substitute Licensing and General Purposes Committee – Councillor Field OFF, Councillor Hayward ON, Councillor Byrne Rother Association of Independents Substitute Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Councillor Creaser ON as Independent (Non-Group) Member, Rother Association of Independents Substitutes – Councillor Stanger OFF – Councillor Hayward ON Planning Committee – Councillor Stanger remains ON as LD Member; Councillor Creaser remains ON as Independent (Non-Group) Member Standards Committee – Councillor Bayliss ON Labour Group Substitute
