Purpose: The Council's Our People Strategy provides the Council's workforce objectives for the next 5 years

Content: Consideration was given to the report of the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources, as contained on pages 259 to 282 of the Book of Reports, which presented the refreshed and updated Our People Strategy 2026 – 2029 for the Council.   A Motion to approve the recommendations at paragraph 2 of the report, was moved and seconded.   An Amendment to include the words "as required" was moved and seconded.   The Amendment was accepted by the mover and seconder, with the additional words "or reviews", with the agreement of the meeting.   During consideration of the report, the Deputy Leader gave an undertaking that officers would carry out a further confidential consultation with staff in relation to the Accommodation Strategy.   A vote was taken on the Altered Motion, which was CARRIED.   RESOLVED:   A.    That Council approve and endorse the Our People Strategy 2026-2029, and simplified poster as attached at Appendix 1 and 2.   B.    That authority be delegated to the Deputy S.151 Officer to conduct an annual review or reviews, if required, and to update the Our People Strategy 2026 – 2029, as required, taking into account the view of the Corporate Consultative Group.
