Purpose: To approve commencement of the second stage of consultation on the emerging North Tyneside Local Plan reflecting the timetable for Local Plan preparation agreed by Cabinet on 17th February 2025; and publish an update to the Authority’s Local Development Scheme to enable minor changes to onward preparation of the Local Plan in 2026. The decision is expected to recommend that the Director of Regeneration and Economic Development in consultation with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Head of Law and Governance publish the preferred options in accordance with the delegated authority established by Cabinet at is meeting of 28 July 2025.
