Purpose:

Content: The Council is required to: a) approve the allocation of seats on Committees b) receive the nominations from political groups to Committees by convention, appoint Chairs and Vice-Chairs of Committees.   A correction was made to the original appendix: Officers confirmed that the Reform councillor holds a seat on Planning (not Licensing), and the Independent councillor holds a seat on Licensing (not Planning).  The corrected appendix is appended to these minutes.    Cllr Barber expressed his gratitude to Cllr Naylor for his leadership as Chair of the Scrutiny, Performance and Standards Committee.   Cllr Aspinell MOVED and Cllr Worsfold SECONDED the recommendations in the report. A vote was taken on a show of hands and it was RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:   R1. That the allocation of seats as set out in Appendix A to the report be approved; R2. That the nominations from the political groups to Committees as set out in Appendix B to the report be approved; R3. The Chair of Strategy, Performance and Standards as set out in Appendix B to the report be appointed.
