Purpose:

Content: Under the Council Procedure Rules of the Constitution, the Council will consider the election from its Members of a Deputy Leader of the Council.   The administration currently has two Deputy Leaders. This appointment relates to one of those positions, while the other Deputy Leader will remain in post.   Councillors expressed their gratitude to Cllr Davies for her dedication and hard work during her tenure as Deputy Leader.   The mayor invited nominations for the election a Deputy Leader for the remainder of the Municipal Year 2025/2026.   Cllr Aspinell MOVED and Cllr Barrett SECONDED the recommendation in the report. A vote was taken by a show of hands and it was RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:   That Cllr David Worsfold is appointed as Deputy Leader of the Council for the remainder of the Municipal Year.
