Purpose: Sections 104 to 108 of the Environment Act 2021 legislate for Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS). The LNRS has been prepared by Lancashire County Council (LCC) and is a highly detailed document that describes the nature resource of Lancashire and establishes both broad and detailed priorities for local nature recovery. It is an evidence-based document drafted through active collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including Wyre Council and its residents through active participation in the Steering Group, workshops, public consultation and the task and finish groups. As a supporting authority, Wyre was notified (3 December) through a pre-publication notice that the LNRS is to be published on 16 January. In accordance with the Regulations, this is to be agreed in writing by the supporting authority.
