Purpose: To approve a temporary increase for twelve months to the establishment for post HN34 at £20,026.07 per calendar year.

Content: Fixed Term Increase Establishment – Housing Needs Engagement & Development Officer (Domestic Abuse)   To approve a temporary increase for twelve months to the establishment for post HN34 at £20,026.07 per calendar year.   That the establishment is temporarily increased from 3.6 FTE / 133.2 hours to 4 FTE on a temporary basis with effect from 1st April 2026 and the 2026/27 HRA budgets are amended accordingly.   This report seeks approval for a fixed term increase to the establishment on a temporary basis within the Housing Needs Service.   The establishment change is to facilitate the recruitment of an Engagement & Development Officer – Domestic Abuse (HN34) role within the Housing Needs service, a post already on the establishment, to create additional resource to comply with Marac attendance, Sanctuary Scheme co-ordination and DAHA accreditation for the service.   This will be release the existing role capacity in the service to focus on prevention projects as part of the new Government Homelessness & Rough Sleeping Strategy and the statutory compliance we have to align with this.   : No other options have been considered. This is the most cost efficient option.
