Purpose:

Content: Proposal: Erection of Class B2 and Class E industrial building as part extension and part diversification of existing business (retrospective).   The Senior Specialist Planner submitted a report which had been subject to a site visit on Monday 12 January 2026.   Slides were displayed on screen showing; location plan, proposed plans – site layout, proposed plans – elevations, view of proposed building, enclosed yard area and access taking from back on the site and view from rear of site showing the building considered under the previous application and that proposed.   The Senior Specialist Planner recommended that that the application be refused.   Representation   The Ward Councillor spoke in support of the application.   The Agent spoke in support of the application.   Following consideration of the application a Member proposed to accept the application contrary to Officer’s recommendation as they felt the development would not result in inappropriate development within the open countryside and it demonstrated a locational need to be sited in this location, this was seconded.   A vote was taken and it was unanimously agreed.   RESOLVED – That the application be approved subject to conditions to regularise and control the development with delegated authority be given to the Service Manager for Development and Implementation to agree the conditions.
