Content: The Cabinet considered the report of the Public Health Programme Manager which set out a proposed Cabinet response to the recommendations put forward by the Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee as a result of its Task and Finish Scrutiny Review of Ketamine Use in Knowsley. Councillor Mrs C Bannon, Cabinet Member for Health, thanked the Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee as well as the Council Officers, external partners and the brave residents with lived experience who took part in what was an excellent scrutiny session. Councillor Bannon indicated that the session highlighted the challenges currently facing Knowsley’s communities on this new and constantly evolving issue. In this respect, Councillor Bannon welcomed all the recommendations detailed in the report. Councillor Bannon reported that the reviews of progress in implementing the recommendations would be reported to the Cabinet Member for Health following a six and twelve-month period. . RESOLVED – That:- (i) all of the recommendations arising from the Scrutiny Review be agreed; (ii) the Cabinet’s response as proposed at Appendix A to this report be agreed and published; and, (iii) that reviews of progress in implementing the recommendations should be reported to the Health Cabinet Member as follows:- (a) After six months, to consider progress in implementation of the agreed actions and, (b) After twelve months, to review the impact of the agreed actions.
