Purpose: Ipswich Borough Council requires a replacement 3.5T Flat Bed Tipper Vehicle in direct replacement for NA14XUS which has both reached the end of its anticipated lifespan as well as being only Euro 5 (Low Emission Vehicle).   The CCS Framework, RM6244 – Specialist Vehicles, has been used to identify suitable purchase route.   The decision made is to procure a replacement vehicle through the TGS Conversion specialist group post price comparisons within the transport department at a total cost of £37,830.00 + VAT. This vehicle features and represents: - Renault Master, Euro 6 Ultra Low Emission vehicle chassis (Van of the year 2025). - Apex Tippa - OEM Grade Aluminium Tipping Body. - Full Fall Arrest including sidestep for load bed access. - VWS vehicle axle self-weighting system including calibration. - Top beacons and Chapter 8 chevrons. - 3-year unlimited mileage warranty   This vehicle replacement represents another step towards carbon neutrality within the council for the cleanest possible fuelled vehicle for the role it will undertake.
