Purpose: Considerable investment has been made by the Council to develop new dwellings on Chapel Road, Sale. In order to facilitate the development and ensure appropriate access, it is proposed to amend the existing on-street parking on Chapel Road and Claremont Road. This will help maintain the balance between the parking needs of residents and visitors to nearby facilities. It is proposed to introduce the changes in waiting restrictions, as shown on drawing E9400-001, to improve parking and road safety in this location. The proposals, as shown on drawing E9400-001, were formally advertised on 13th August 2025 and received 3 objections from residents and 1 enquiry from a councillor. Having considered the objections received, approval is sought to introduce the restrictions as advertised in accordance with drawing E9400-001.

To introduce waiting restrictions, in the interests of highway safety and to discourage obstruction of the highway. Not progressing the proposals would be detrimental to road safety and access.
