Purpose: To seek delegated authority to procure highway services and construction phase works, through a competitive tender process, in relation to the Schemes listed in Appendix A and then make such ancillary orders as are necessary to successfully implement each of the Schemes.   

Content: To seek delegated authority to procure highway services and construction phase works, through a competitive tender process, in relation to the Schemes listed in Appendix A and then make such ancillary orders as are necessary to successfully implement each of the Schemes.    Cllr Joe Harris sought delegated authority to procure highway services and construction phase works, through a competitive tender process, in relation to the Schemes listed in Appendix A and then make such ancillary orders as are necessary to successfully implement each of the Schemes.     Having considered all of the information, Cabinet noted the report and   RESOLVED to:   Delegate authority to the Executive Director of Economy, Environment & Infrastructure, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Highways, to:   1. Conduct competitive procurement processes using either Gloucestershire County Council’s (GCC’s) Highways Construction Framework or (as appropriate) an open procurement process to procure as many contracts as may be required during the period 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027 for the supply of highway services and construction phase works in relation to the Schemes detailed in Appendix A to this report; 2. Award the above contracts to the preferred tenderer(s); and 3. Make such ancillary traffic regulation orders as may be required in order to successfully implement the Schemes, (such as temporary traffic regulation orders (TTROs) for speed limits etc.) during the construction phase of each Scheme
