Purpose: Planning Permission was granted for the full demolition of the Tithebarn Public House located at 27 Lord Street on 13th November 2025 due to the buildings deteriorating structural condition. This report considers the potential to retain the facades of the public house during the demolition compared to the estimated costs of re-building on the site using some of the materials saved from the demolition. This is a key decision and is included on the Decision-Making Plan.

Content: Resolved - That the Interim Director of Environment and Property in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources agreed to         i.        the full demolition of the Tithebarn Public House building.     ii.        retain and secure the cellar of the building if practicable.    iii.        save bricks from the façade where practical for them to be used in any future building on the site.    iv.        commission designs and estimated costings for future use of the site.
