Content: The purpose of this report is to request approval of proposed changes to the Council Tax Section 13A (1) (c) Discretionary Local Discount Policy to enable up to 100% Council Tax discount to be awarded tohouseholds with a terminally ill occupant. The Executive Director (Resources), in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources, is recommended to agree the amended Council Tax Section 13A (1) (c) Discretionary Local Discount Policy, as set out in Appendix Do nothing – retaining the existing policy was considered and rejected.   Nationally the campaign by Marie Curie continues to gain momentum and the Council are keen to ensure that this support is made available to Knowsley residents.
