Content: Before the Committee was a report by the Corporate Director for Resources, copies of which had been circulated to all Members and a copy of which is attached to the signed copy of these minutes as Item 12.   This report sought approval for a virement of £668,700 of the capital budget originally allocated to the Pier Sprinkler scheme in order to fund the planned project to reinstate the damaged structure at Worthing Pier. The Virement was requested to secure the long term stability of the section of deck which was subject to temporary repair in 2024. The report addressed the context of the need for and the impact anticipated of approving this virement     Decision:   1.     That  the virement of £668,700 from the Pier Sprinkler System project in the 2025/26 capital programme to create an in-year budget for the Reinstatement of Permanent Pier Supports as detailed in Section 4 of this report be approved.   2.     That the resulting pause of the Sprinkler System project as highlighted in 4.1.3 be authorised     Call In: The call-in deadline for decisions will be 5.00pm on 17 February 2026.
