Content: 1.     Toconsider representations made to the advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in relation to a proposed prohibition of right turn on the following road in Calne, and to recommend an appropriate way forward.   ·       A4 Curzon Street / Wansdyke Drive, Calne               Following consultation with officers I give notice that I intend to make the decision set out in the attached report.  If you would like to make any representations to me on this issue, please do so by 18 February 2026.   1.    Implementation of the right turn ban restriction will help to address road safety concerns on the A4 adjacent to the school without restricting through traffic, access for residents, service vehicles and emergency services at this location.   2.    The proposals are in accordance with priorities 2 and 3 in Wiltshire Council’s Business Plan 2022 – 2032.   3.    The proposals have the support of Springfields Academy. To:   (i)             Implement the proposals as advertised.   (ii)            Abandon the proposals. 1.    Consultation has been undertaken with:   ·       The elected Wiltshire Council Members through the statutory TRO consultation process ·       Members of the public through the statutory TRO consultation process   2.    The No Right Turn prohibition was subject to formal consultation between 10th October 2025 and 3rd November 2025.  During the consultation period a total of five items of correspondence were received in response to the Council’s proposals.  One item objected to the advertised proposals, and two were in favour.  The remaining two were general comments.
